Stained Glass Classes

Our classes start at the beginning of each month (please check the calendar for exact dates) and are one day each week for four weeks. Each class session is 3 hours long and the cost of the class is $100.00 for the entire four weeks.  The class fee is non-refundable! 

We offer beginner copper foil classes, beginner lead classes, and intermediate classes. Mosaic classes are by demand.

Our classes are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 12:00 and on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 or Thursday 5:30 to 8:30.

You will need your own tools. We offer some basic tool kits for both copper foil and leaded glass classes. Our kit has a 10% discount applied.  Also, you will need to purchase the glass for your project.

*Closed toe shoes are required for class.

**Cutters are not included in the kits.
The first night you will try the different cutters to see which style you are comfortable with before purchasing.

 

One-Day Copper Foil Workshops

We are pleased to announce that we now offer one-day copper foil workshops. The workshop will be held on one Saturday most months.  The class is from 10-5 and at the end you will leave with a completed suncatcher and a general understanding of the copper foil method! We supply all tools and glass for the workshop as well as some snacks and bottled water. We have six patterns to choose from that are able to be completed within our time frame. You can choose the pattern you like best and up to three provided glass colors for your project. We have samples of the pieces available hanging in the shop. This class is great for beginners and refreshers and costs $175.

Class Fee Policy

  • Class fees are due when you sign up for class to reserve your spot.
  • Class fees are non-refundable. 
  • We require a minimum of 3-week notice if you cannot make your scheduled class to reschedule you to a new one and give us time to fill your class spot. If you do not reschedule in this time, you will be required to repay for class in order to sign up again.
  • We do not call prior to class to remind you of it!  We are a small business with few employees and do not have the ability to call all 40+ students a month to verify their class. Please make sure you save the date. (We understand emergencies happen and are not unreasonable in working with you if one arises. We are not responsible for forgotten classes.) We do not refund if you miss your class.
  • Our classes run for 4 weeks. If you find that you are going to miss one of your class dates, please let us know (in your class month) and we can schedule a make-up for the missed class. Our goal is that every student finishes the class with a completed project that they are happy with!

Class Make-Up Policy

It is very important to try and not miss any class! Classes are organized in a way to fully complete a project in our designated time frame. However, we understand, stuff happens.  As a beginner, the first and last class of the month include the most lesson and are very important to not miss. If you know ahead of time that you will be missing one of those dates, we recommend signing up for a different month. 

For both intermediate and beginner students: should you miss a class, we do allow make-ups. Class make-ups are by appointment only and are non-instructional. (We have to dedicate our time outside of regular class hours to our other work such as restoration, customs, paperwork, ordering, etc. We can stop to answer a short question or two but unfortunately cannot focus much of our time to make-ups and shop time.) Class make-ups are only allowed within one month of your missed class and do not carry over any further.
